I hear it all the time...PowerPoint is lame and outdated as a Retail Training tool.  This is why the haters are wrong!

#1: PowerPoint is compatible with all the rapid eLearning tools including the giants Articulate and Captivate. This means that your PowerPoint presentations can be easily converted into eLearning courses that will play on desktops, laptops, tablets and smart phones.

#2: There are a massive amount of PowerPoint templates/materials/inspirations available to make your Retail Training awesome.

  • In PowerPoint 2010, there are a number of great templates that are ideal for retail training.

  • Slideshop has a massive library of retail training templates that are available for purchase at a very low price.  If you can't find anything you like, they will produce custom slides for $19/slide in 48 hours.

  • Another favorite source of PowerPoint horsepower for eLearning is Articulate's Rapid eLearning Blog. You can find lot's of free PowerPoint templates for your retail training. Also, you can get tips on graphic design, audio and video.

  • Last but not least is a new favorite of mine called SlideShare.  SlideShare is the world's largest community for sharing presentations. With 60 million monthly visitors and 130 million page views, it is amongst the most visited 200 websites in the world. If you can't find inspiration from Slideshare, it's time for you to find a different career.
